We had an excellent meal. Every course was very good. Our server was very nice and he looked like Robert Downey Jr.

The food was good old school Italian. Reminds me of meals I had growing up. I'd come back. Out of all the dishes we had loved the tortellini.

Even though it was just 1 hour before closing, they welcomed us without any rush. The service was excellent, and the staff were very friendly. The main dishes, carbonara and bolognese, were so delicious that I wanted seconds ❤︎ I would love to go there again!

Visited on a Monday late afternoon, when the restaurant was just starting dinner service. We were offered fresh, lightly toasted bread with OO. The food was tasty. The plating presentation and menu options were old-fashioned.

Osteria Toscana in downtown Palo Alto was a fine experience enjoying pleasant Italian food. We got started with the complimentary bread which was freshly baked and easy to chew. The pasta I ordered (forgot the name but it's like a lasagna dish and fully vegetarian) was incredible, from the sauce and cheese to the flavors in the pasta and the portion size was generous. Our server, Jorge, was fantastic from start to finish, checking on us regularly and getting our orders out quite quickly. This is definitely on the pricier side, but it's worth it for the food and ambience. Parking is a bit tricky but in addition to street parking there's a garage a couple blocks away with free parking. Highly recommend this place.
